Now that we are back in our home and finally live here for Christmas, we realized we had to decorate! With a limited time and budget we wanted to make sure we had some key things covered. We had our new white mantle to adorn and had made a new stocking for the baby. We also had to put up our tree and set our new dining table from NECR for Christmas dinner.

For our Christmas tree, we like lots of white lights and silvery decorations with dozens of birds.  Against the sliding door there is great reflection and you can see it well from the street.

As for the fireplace and mantle, here is the before:

…we liked keeping it simple and festive, all the bottles are from our wedding and the greenery is from the yard.

We also wanted to decorate the buffet to have focal point as you came in the living room for greeting cards so here is what I came up with:

Last but not least, we wanted to put together our new dining space for dinner with our new farm table.  Our Granny and Grandad are coming to have dinner with us and the baby and we’re so excited.  Again I kept silver, white and a touch of gold and only greenery and baby’s breath for florals.
