All Hands On Deck! The Final

Start your summer! We are ready to go at the Scott Sun & Sand Club (thanks Yaya Jess for the name). Our deck is now fully outfitted for relaxing and parties! Let’s take a tour, shall we?

First, the inspiration, I had come up with a little vision board to keep things cohesive, check out my last post for this… it really helped me to keep from giving into my whims of what I came across along the way!

We started with a clean slate, a brand new deck built from Azek decking which won’t stain, chip, splinter and generally need much upkeep, and cool black rails that fit the Ranch style of our house better, not to mention, my husband’s awesome grill and our little fire pit!  We are ready to chillax!

We added some classic white Adirondack chairs and table with bright new cushions for a sunny perch.

A small bistro set we were given by my amazing MIL who’s a realtor in RI.  With a good wire brush scrubbing, some new paint, and some great textiles the set looks fabulous.

The rug works out great to add color, but also as a great play mat for our little peanut and her friends.  We even got a little kiddie pool that works!

To finish it all up I hung the newly painted planters and put lots of herbs in them for easy access for cooking as well as they help ward off mosquitos!

A few extra planters help add color and make the space really inviting… and geraniums also help with the pests!

It’s lovely and bright in the afternoon, and we’ve already had family parties to help break it in!  Stop by soon, it’s summer and the beach is just down the way!

Cheers!
